Anti-Spam Policy

Last updated: 22 February 2026

Dependal is a transactional email platform. We do not permit the Service to be used for spam or unsolicited bulk email. This policy explains how we prevent abuse and respond to complaints.

1. No unsolicited email

You must not send email to recipients who have not requested or do not reasonably expect your messages. You must not use purchased, rented, scraped, or harvested lists.

2. Transactional-only stance

Dependal is intended for transactional and service messages. Marketing and promotional sending is not allowed unless specifically approved by Dependal in writing.

3. Monitoring and feedback handling

We monitor sending and feedback signals such as bounces, complaints, and anomalous patterns. We use these signals to protect recipients and maintain deliverability.

4. Suppression lists

Dependal maintains suppression controls to reduce repeat sending to problem destinations:

  • Permanent suppression may be applied for hard bounces and spam complaints.
  • Temporary suppression may be applied for soft bounces where appropriate.

5. Throttling and suspension

If complaint rates, bounce rates, or other signals exceed acceptable levels, Dependal may:

  • Throttle sending (globally, per tenant/account, per domain, or per recipient domain).
  • Pause sending privileges until remediation steps are completed.
  • Suspend or terminate access for repeated or severe violations.

6. Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining clean recipient data and removing invalid addresses.
  • Ensuring recipients expect your messages.
  • Complying with applicable laws (including UK GDPR, PECR, and CAN-SPAM where relevant).
  • Providing accurate identification and use-case information when requested.

7. Abuse contact

Report spam or abuse to abuse@dependal.com.
